Want real ski mountaineering Norway? Come to the Arctic, where the Lyngen Alps and Uløya give you long descents from summit to sea, stable snow, and quiet peaks. At Lyngen Outdoor Center, we run small, guided groups with IFMGA/IVBV certified mountain guides, comfy lodging, and simple, good food — so you can focus on skiing.

What we do

We deliver week-long (or custom-length) ski touring packages  in Northern Norway. You choose between:

  • Open Groups – join as a solo skier or a couple, share a guide and the same lodge (private bedrooms). We run intermediate and advanced groups. Full package with guiding and catering.

  • Private Groups – your own Lyngen lodge and dedicated guide for full flexibility. Minimum three people

Why ski mountaineering Norway with us?

Local terrain mastery

We guide every day here. Expect routes that match your level, the weather, and the avalanche risk — not a fixed, one-size plan. Each group gets a dedicated IFMGA/IVBV guide.

Lyngen Outdoor Team

Small groups = more skiing

Typical group size is 3–6 skiers, which means faster decisions, safer travel, and more vertical.

Summit-to-sea lines

Ski 1000+ metre slopes that fall straight toward deep blue fjords. Few places in the world offer this kind of terrain for both keen intermediates and strong experts.

Boats for access

We use modern aluminium boats (7.5–8.5 m, 150 HP) when the best snow sits across the water — a classic Lyngen experience.

Warm base, good food

Stay in our fully equipped lodges with drying rooms. Packages include catering, so you recover well and are ready to ski again tomorrow.

Yes

Q5) Are guides certified?

Yes, our guides are IFMGA/IVBV certified — the international benchmark for mountain guides.
